ABOUT THIS CALL

The 12th Shibuya Awards, themed CROSSING, is an open call art award connecting selected artists to exhibition, critique, documentation and archive opportunities in Shibuya, Tokyo. General entry covers up to 2 artworks, with additional artworks and a student discount available. Selected and nominated works are shown in a public exhibition ahead of an awards ceremony.

REQUIREMENT 

  • Open to individuals, groups and organisations of any nationality

  • General entry JPY 9,900 for up to 2 artworks; student entry JPY 6,600

  • Additional artworks JPY 3,300 each, up to 5 total

  • Pay entry fee via Stripe or STORES before submitting the application form

  • Artwork images, information, statement and profile image required

Shibuya Awards is an open call art award run by the Shibuya Awards 2026 Executive Committee with Shibuya City, connecting artists to public exhibition, critique, documentation and cultural programming across the city.
