ABOUT THIS CALL

Create! Magazine's Tenth Anniversary Art Prize is the publication's inaugural annual art prize, designed to discover exceptional talent and offer professional opportunities extending beyond a single feature. Artists submit work in one of four categories: Painting and Two-Dimensional Media (painting, drawing, printmaking); Photography and Digital Art (film, digital photography, new media, excluding AI); Sculpture and Three-Dimensional Design (sculpture, ceramics, installation, spatial works); and Fiber and Textile Art (textile, weaving, embroidery, soft sculpture). The Grand Prize Winner, chosen from the total pool, receives a USD 1,000 cash award, inclusion of one medium-sized artwork in the anniversary pop-up exhibition in Philadelphia (October 2026), a six-page editorial spread and interview in the print magazine, a podcast guest invitation, a global social media spotlight to an audience of over 200,000, and a foil-stamped physical certificate. First Place Category Winners (one per category) receive a one-year Create! Collective membership (USD 390 value), exhibition participation, a two-page editorial feature, a blog interview, a social media spotlight and a physical award certificate. Second and Third Place Category Winners (two per category) receive a blog interview, physical award certificate and social media spotlight. The jury comprises Ekaterina Popova (Create! Magazine founder), Alicia Puig (CEO of PxP Contemporary) and Christina Nafziger (arts writer and lead editor). Submissions open 5 June 2026, close 31 July 2026, with jury review in August, winners announced 30 August 2026, and publications continuing through Fall 2026 and into 2027. Entry fees are non-refundable; a limited number of scholarships are available by emailing info@createmagazine.com with supporting materials.
