Nomad Art Prize 2026 is an international award for visual artists celebrating the dialogue between artistic creation and the places that inspire it, built on the belief that art is inherently nomadic, crossing borders, cultures and contexts. For its 2026 edition the prize moves to Lisbon, Portugal, drawing on the city's layered history, maritime heritage and creative scene as both backdrop and muse, inviting artists to explore displacement, travel and the tension between roots and movement. Open to artists of all nationalities aged 16 and over, each application may include one to three works across any visual medium, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, digital art and mixed media, with no restriction based on professional status or career stage. Applications are reviewed by an international jury of curators, Jonas Meyer, Marta Rinaldi and Rebecca Chen, who select eight artists. Selected artists each receive a EUR 1,000 cash prize and are invited to a one-week creative residency in Lisbon, with travel and accommodation included, culminating in an exhibition at LX Factory in October 2026. Artists retain full ownership and copyright of their work; the entry fee is EUR 50 for one work or EUR 75 for two, and the application deadline is 30 July 2026, with jury evaluation in August and results announced 26 August 2026.
