ABOUT THIS CALL
PhotoVogue's Brave New Visions Global Open Call, themed 'Creativity as Rebellion', invites photographers and video makers worldwide to create images that resist indifference and reawaken how audiences see, across all genres from fashion to documentary, portraiture, fine art and experimental practice. Rather than asking for a theme to illustrate, the call asks for a position, a stance in relation to the world as it is, what one refuses, longs for, questions or imagines, whether expressed through intimacy and care or confrontation and rupture. Open to all artists aged 18 and above, submissions are free and accepted from 14 May to 11 September 2026 (closing 11:59pm CET); entrants may submit a series of up to 15 images, or a combination of images and video for multimedia projects, and/or a 60-second video trailer. AI-generated works are not eligible, and artists who have previously entered a PhotoVogue Open Call are encouraged to submit a new project rather than resubmit. Three artists will receive a total of USD 12,000 across an Outstanding Vision Grant (USD 6,000, for an artist pushing creative boundaries), a Vision Grant (USD 4,000, for a compelling and unique perspective) and a Rising Voice Grant (USD 2,000, for an emerging artist showing originality and promise); selected artists will also be presented at the next PhotoVogue Festival, have the opportunity to be published across Vogue's global editions, and may take part in PhotoVogue Virtual Portfolio Reviews.
