ABOUT THIS CALL
The Art on Climate International Illustration Competition invites illustrators and animated video creators aged 18 and above, from any location, to submit original works addressing the theme of climate change, drawing on one or more of five sub-topics: driving the climate transition for resilient communities, respecting planetary boundaries to protect biodiversity, fostering inclusive capitalism for a just transition, financing innovation and technology for real-world impact, and collective action for a sustainable legacy. Each participant may submit up to three illustrations (A3 size, JPG, minimum 300dpi, max 10MB, no AI-generated work, no identifying signatures or text) and up to three animated videos (10 to 15 seconds, 9:16 or 1:1 aspect ratio, MP4 or MOV, max 30MB, no voiceovers, English-language captions only), each accompanied by a 30 to 100 word description. Registration and upload run from 18 May to 31 July 2026; results are announced by 30 September 2026. The judging panel includes Jeff Jioe (Fingertips Company Limited), Jay Chau (Asian Art Association Singapore), Benny Lau (Hong Kong Society of Illustrator), Liu Ray Lung (Taiwan Society of Illustrators) and Jane Liu (Z Jane Visual Art Studio). Illustration prizes are Champion (EUR 2,000), 1st runner-up (EUR 1,500), 2nd runner-up (EUR 1,000) and 20 Merit prizes (EUR 150 each); Animated Video prizes mirror the top three tiers. There is no entry fee. Since its launch in Spain in 2019 the competition has grown into a global movement, with the 2025 edition alone receiving over 3,500 submissions from more than 2,600 illustrators across 100 locations.

Each entry accompanied by a 30-100 word description
Up to 3 illustrations and 3 animated videos per participant; only one prize per person

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Art on Climate is an international illustration competition organised by Fingertips Company Limited and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), an early signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (2007) that has moved from ESG integration toward active stewardship and impact investing focused on real-world climate impact. The competition is co-organised with the Asian Art Association Singapore, the Federation of Cartoonists Organizations, Lucky Books and illustrator societies in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is expanding its reach across the Asia-Pacific region.
