ABOUT THIS CALL

The Hugo Burge Foundation's 2026 Grant Programme is focused on three funding strands. Creative Education (GBP 100,000 available) supports opportunities for young people aged 0 to 29 to build creative knowledge and skills, open to schools, local authorities, community groups, charities, museum and gallery spaces, educational institutions and arts organisations, with a maximum award of GBP 15,000. Creative Communities (GBP 150,000 available) supports festivals, charities, arts organisations and community groups developing cultural or creative initiatives locally, also capped at GBP 15,000. For both strands, projects requesting GBP 10,000 or under can be fully funded, while requests above that require at least 30% of the budget to come from alternate funding sources; a limited number of multi-year grants (up to three years) are offered in each. Creative Individuals (GBP 50,000 available) is open to individual practitioners in all creative disciplines across the UK seeking support for the development of artistic projects or practice, with a maximum award of GBP 5,000 per artist, which can fund an entire project. Applications are submitted via Submittable and close 31 July 2026. An access support fund of GBP 7,000 is available on a first-come, first-served basis, covering up to GBP 300 per day for access support workers (for example, for Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent applicants), with no proof required.
